Reading Challenges for 2012 - Thuy

Hi, everyone. This year I will be participating in a couple of reading challenges. I figured I would post about them now so I hold myself to them next year. :) I am not always the best at committing and making a list (I love lists!) of the challenge and the books I want to read for them will help keep me on track.

The first challenge I am participating in is the Debut Author Challenge (DAC) hosted by The Story Siren. I've thought about doing this challenge before but this year, I am going to participate. There are so many awesome 2012 debuts coming out and I am excited to be a part of this. Below is the list of books I plan to read for DAC though I'll probably add more along the way.
Books in Bold are books that I already own. You can also check out my Goodreads shelf for the challenge here.

1. Slide by Jill Hathaway
2. Ripper by Amy Carol Reeves
3. Under The Never Sky by Veronica Rossi
4. Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard
5. The Selection by Kiera Kass
6. The Catastrophic History of You and Me by Jess Rothenberg
7. When The Dead Sea is Rising by Cat Hellison

18. Fracture by Miranda Megan

Blue ButtonNext up is the Standalone Reading Challenge (SARC) hosted by Icey Books. I haven't really participated in any public challenges before so I hope this goes well. I actually love the idea of standalone novels. Don't get me wrong, I have lost of series love but it's nice to read a book that's just a story on its own - not part of a trilogy or series. So I am trying for a minimum of 15 books, though there are more on the list. Below is my list of books I want to read next year for the challenge.

  1. I haven't decided which challenges I'm going to join next year, as I tend to go overboard. These look like fun, go enjoy!
