In My Mailbox (1)

I don't do memes all that often, but this week was a great book-acquisition week for me, so here goes!

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. It gives book bloggers the chance to share what they’ve bought/borrowed/received!

Reading this for the YA Book Council's February meeting. I didn't like the snippet of it I heard on Audible.com, otherwise I probably would have gotten it on audio. I never thought I'd say this, but there's just too much to read this month!

I've been lusting after this for ages, especially since a lot of my blogger friends were getting the ARC last summer. It's OK though--I finally bought it, and it looks lovely!

I already have this on Kindle, but it's not quite the same as having the book in your hand--especially with that great eye-candy cover!

It was totally IndieBound support week, this week. I attended the Popcorn and YA Writers event at The Last Bookstore in L.A. and could not resist picking this up! Sounds hilarious, and I love listening to Crickett talk.

Dancergirl by Carol M. Tanzman

I've actually already read this on my Kindle--it was a good book, and better yet, my ex-cheerleader/dancer cousin is going to dig it. I'll have to get my own copy later when I have cash again!

  2. I still need to read Mara Dyer and Name of the Star too. Hope you enjoy them! Loved the Near Witch- that's a good one to own in hardcover.
    Have heard good things about Dancergirl too.

    1. Go Indie! I'm really trying... it's hard paying full price sometimes but I figure I get enough crazy deals that it evens out. And I feel good about helping my local businesses :)

  7. Nice! I've got Mara Dyer on my TBR shelf and am looking forward to reading it as soon as I'm done with my review books. And I keep meaning to pick up something by Maureen Johnson but haven't yet. On my to-do list! Happy reading!

    1. Haha, you totally dissed one of my fave books in your IMM--it's ok, it's hard to tell sometimes. Katie Alender's Bad Girls Don't Die is one of my most favorite creepy books ever which cracks me up because she is a huge scaredy cat :)
