In My Mailbox (9)

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren (inspired by Alea at Pop Culture Junkie) where you can show off the books that you got last week.

Bought:

our May 2012 selection for YABC (chosen by Roxy W

Traded for:

I sent Uniquely Moi Books my extra copy of Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. I'm about 60 pages in and beginning to think I got the short end of the stick--despite Selection already being made into a TV series before the book is even released. Now if the world were a fairer place Shadow and Bone should at least get a movie deal at minimum; an HBO miniseries would be best. It is freaking brilliant.

I also went to The LA Times Festival of Books today, but I already had all the books for the authors we went to see! :P So I can't really count them.

That's it for me this week! What's in your mailbox?

  1. Haha, I have Shadow and Bone but not The Selection, so maybe I won't be making a similar trade. I'm really excited to read Shadow and Bone, though. Curious to see how the Selection turns out for you. Happy reading, and have a great week!

  4. I wasn't able to get to the LATFOB this year, but I heard it was pretty great. :) And I definitely have to agree with you re: Shadow & Bone. Definitely deserves its own miniseries or something!
