To Be Read

3/28/2023

Dear readers,

It has been quite some time since I have blogged, but I have read so much more in the first 3 months of 2023 than I feel like I did from 2018-2022, that I feel like this is the right time to return. I am trying not to think too much about whether or not anyone will be reading this blog (Do people even read blogs, nowadays? Will blogging come back into vogue if they shut down TikTok? 😩) and focus on the basics of blogging that I loved in the first place: reading great (or sometimes not so great) books, sharing my thoughts, and hearing from other readers.

So I'm just putting this out there. I'm not quite up to accepting titles for review. I'm just reviewing things I own or that I have borrowed from the library. We'll see how it goes in the next few months; I might change my mind about that. I'll still be posting children's up to young adult books at readnowsleeplater.org, and adult books or slice-of-life posts here.

In the meantime, if you're reading this, and planning to come back for more, please leave me an encouraging comment! (And if you've got a critical one, please keep it to yourself, we're definitely not there yet.)

Also, if you are also a book blogger, whether you're still writing or switched to Instagram, or taking a long break like I did, please let me know if you'd like me to share your blog link on mine (subject to approval). I kind of miss those old link-rings we used to do back before social media and before search engines got really good.

Happy reading,

Alethea

(p.s., I get asked A LOT about where I got this dress. It's the Andi Book Print Dress from Joanie Clothing -- not an ad, and not an affiliate or sponsored link). Call me, Joanie!
